Audio version — Versatile Installation Options for AODD PumpsAntlia's Air-Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) pumps are designed and customised for a wide range of applications, offering versatility in installation configurations to meet specific fluid transfer needs. Here are the 6 main installation options available.
Antlia AODD pumps excel in handling viscous fluids where the suction side of the pump is located below the fluid level, drawing from the bottom of the tank.
Antlia's AODD pumps are renowned for their self-priming ability, making this the standard application. These pumps efficiently empty drums and wells or handle situations where the suction side is above the liquid level in the tank.
Antlia pumps are designed for complete submersion, operating inside the tank and in direct contact with the pumping fluid. For reliable performance, all construction materials submerged in the liquid must possess chemical resistance and compatibility with the fluid.
Upon request, Antlia pumps can be customised with a double suction manifold. This special version is employed in applications requiring the mixing of two different liquids, all achievable with just one pump.
Another special model available upon request is the pump with a double delivery manifold. Suitable for applications requiring the delivery of the same product to two different parts of the plant, it provides efficient and convenient fluid transfer solutions.
The pinnacle of Antlia's special models, this pump combines both double suction and double discharge manifolds. Two entirely independent sides allow for the pumping of two different liquids without any contact between them.
This innovative design enables the use of just one pump for enhanced process efficiency.
Our engineers at Antlia Engineering Works, Mumbai can design and supply AODD pumps in all standard and custom installation configurations for your specific application.

Positive suction means the suction side of the AODD pump is below the fluid level, drawing liquid from the bottom of the tank. Inlet fluid pressure should be restricted to 0.5 bar for PTFE diaphragm pumps and 0.8 bar for rubber diaphragm pumps.
Yes. Antlia AODD pumps are designed for complete submersion inside the tank. All submerged materials must have chemical resistance and compatibility with the fluid. An air exhaust extension must be positioned above the fluid level for proper operation.
A double suction AODD pump has a special double suction manifold allowing it to mix two different liquids using just one pump. This is a custom configuration available from Antlia Engineering Works upon request.
